Argentina’s financial collapse in 2001 resulted in a peso devaluation that sparked a significant foreign tourism boom. A result of this was the opening of many quality Spanish schools that provide you with the chance to learn Spanish affordably. As well as cost though, there are other grounds for opting to learn to speak Spanish in Argentina too.

English is not widely spoken by Argentines. In contrast to countries located further north which have more contact with American travelers, businesses, and pop culture, Argentina has experienced much less contact with the English-speaking world. Until recently, the French language was considered by Argentines to be of a higher standing than English and the people with the means and interest to learn a second language tended to learn French.

Although Argentines are fast changing their attitude ({English instruction now being an obligatory part of childrens’ education)~}, English is still seldom spoken fluently by Argentines. This serves as a great benefit for students of Spanish because it will be necessary for them to speak in Spanish to get by.

Argentines are easy to understand. They do not talk overly fast, nor do they mumble or swallow consonants, which can be be common for Caribbean or Central American speakers. Lots of beginner students have trouble distinguishing words when listening to spoken Spanish because they cannot hear the stopping of one word and the beginning of the next. Studying Spanish whilst in Argentina reduces this issue.

Talking a lot is common in Argentina. You will have little trouble getting people to practice with because a talkative culture exists there. It is easy to strike up a conversation with perfect strangers. Confident students benefit from such an open environment.

To take advantage of this{ great language learning opportunity~If this sounds like an interesting opportunity to you,} you just need to conduct some online research.~Just do a little online research.} Whatever your preference, a short month long study holiday, a half year home stay arrangement, or something inbetween, you will be sure to find something in Argentina for you.

Language Learning & Web 2.0

FRAUD used by SCHOOLS

Students want to attend high quality established schools. Schools will use fraud to attract students to their school or attempt to appear more established to qualify for government programs or association membership. Schools that claim to have specific affiliations, qualifications, assets, programs, staff or history that are untrue are committing fraud. Schools have also used fraudulent statistics to show jobs or salary upon graduation.

A favorite trick is to name a language school as a “college”. The word college in Canada is not an official use name and anyone can name any building, house or barn as a college. Students should not choose a school simply because it has college in the name. College in the name does not mean anything in Canada.

Another trick is to use the same name or almost identical name of a famous school in the USA, UK, Asia, or Europe. If the famous school has not registered the name in Canada then anyone else can register the name without any affiliation with the original school at all. Students should not pick a school because it has a famous name in their country as it may have no affiliation at all and is designed to trick students.

Schools will appoint international agents or representatives to promote and market the school to potential students then not pay for the advertising or not pay the agency fees. Fraud schools will defraud agents by stating students did not register.

Some of the schools are owned by agents. When an independent agent presents the school with a potential student that student will be contacted by the head office agency and re-registered in the name of that agent thus defrauding the original hardworking agent.

In addition, exposure to a new language while at daycare in Brookline can strengthen the development of verbal/language skills in infants, toddlers, preschool and even pre-K aged kids.

FRAUD used by STUDENTS

The most prevalent fraud is to use the student visa as an entry into Canada to work. These fraud students take away jobs from Canadian immigrant newcomers and jobs for Canadian students. If one really looked at the reasons for Canadian student, youth and newcomer unemployment in Canada - significant culprits are the employers who use illegal workers.

Students have hired imposters to take tests for them, paid exam proctors to complete exams, bought essays from “experts” to submit as their own and bribed school officials to change their marks in the official records. The victims of this student fraud are all the honest hardworking students that were denied admission into restricted programs because their marks were not as good as the fraud students who were admitted.

Children receiving an early bilingual education in their Brookline daycare program have a unique advantage. In addition to the developmental and educational benefits of learning Spanish early on, they are better prepared to thrive in and appreciate a multi-cultural environment at any age.

What if a child already speaks a second language?

One of the best features about the Brookline community is its diversity. Multiple cultures and languages co-exist within a relatively small space.

How embarrassing would it be for you to sit in front of a computer talking out loud in front of hundreds of people at the cafe as you practice your new language?  People would stare and that would be embarrassing and it would make you want to quit before you even got started.

Just take your time, and do some research and find the best study course for the Spanish language beginner.

The nice thing is, that most of them have at least a 6 day free trial so you can test it out to see if that one is for you or not.  Just remember that if you don’t try this, nothing will happen and  then you will never learn this beautiful language

Latin is the forefather of Italian, French, Portuguese, Spanish and Romanian and the language of Italy can be traced back to somewhere in the later part of the tenth century. However, it was only four centuries later that the Italian language was formalized and a standard language began to take shape.

Now, over 70 million people speak Italian. While there are numerous communities of speakers in Croatia, Slovenia, Malta and North and South America, the core group of Italian speakers lives in the Vatican, San Marino, Switzerland, and of course, Italy.

The Italian language is well known for its beautiful and diverse dialect. Some of the many linguists have even made statements about their being different types of languages spoken throughout each Italian city. Infact, the Neapolitan and Sicilian languages are nearly indiscernible as an Italian language, while the Tuscan, Romanesco, Umbrian, and Laziale dialects hold true to what is believed to be the Italian standard.

The Italian alphabet consists of twenty-one main letters, with an additional five being used solely in foreign names. Most of the vocabulary for this language comes from Latin, however Italian manages to refresh simply by the borrowing of words from German, French and English. Other countries have also been known to borrow words from the Italian language, using them to describe art, music, and foods.

Italian grammar is also Latin based and therefore shares its main features with the other Romance languages. As with these languages, word order most often follows the order Subject-Verb-Object and so on with nouns determined by gender and number, finding agreement with adjectives, while verbs agree with their subjects and are placed based on person and number.

Learning Italian is simple if one of the Romance languages is already part of your arsenal because there are numerous likenesses. However, learning to speak Italian seems to be very popular with those who speak English as well as other Germanic languages.

In spite of the growing popularity of LMS online courses, only 8.6 out of each 100 college credits taken by students in the U.S. are for studying a foreign language. Compare that figure to the 56% of Europeans who are at ease with at least one other language, according to a recent Eurobarometer survey. Unfortunately, the stereotype about Americans is rather true: most of us are more or less limited to English.

We are one of the richest countries on the planet, with access to the finest and most innovative technology. Taking that into consideration, it’s baffling that more Americans aren’t challenging themselves to acquire a second language, taking advantage of the spectrum of language resources such as face-to-face and online tutors, and university and LMS online language courses.

It’s true that LMS online language courses are peculiar. Unlike many other topics which survive on paper, language needs to come off the page, into the student’s head, and out of the mouth–often.

The repetition of words and phrases is a requisite to any language course. Sure, an online course can require students to listen to and repeat words, without someone there to provide feedback a student’s pronunciation may be completely off.

So for learning a language, a blended learning environment is really ideal. Most e-learning, after all, is most effective when coupled with face-to-face teaching.

When used in blended learning, LMS online language courses can be truly efficient. In high schools especially, online language is part of the solution to many challenges that schools face, including limited language course offerings, shortages of language instructors, a lack of interest in language acquisition, the rise in home-schooling, and the lack of AP classes, physical space, and funding. In school districts across the country, the budget cuts are forecasted to carry a heavy impact.

Online language practice with other students is especially helpful for shy students, but benefits everyone by making them feel more comfortable practicing.Online tools like LMSs, VoIP providers, instant messaging, screen and audio recordings, and podcasts provide endless opportunities for applying and sharpening language knowledge.

According to a report by the U.S. Department of Education, only 8.6 out of every 100 university credits achieved by U.S. students are for foreign language acquisition, despite the growing use of LMS online language programs. In contrast, about 56% of Europeans are masters over at least one non-native tongue, according to a recent Eurobarometer survey. It’s unfortunate: the U.S. is lagging far behind other countries in second-language acquisition.

The U.S. is one of the most materially privileged countries across the globe, with access to the best and newest technology. Given this, why aren’t we taking advantage of all the resources available to us in language acquisition, such as face-to-face and virtual tutors, and university and LMS online courses?

Of course, LMS online language courses are unique. Different from other learning topics which maintain their liveliness on the page, language requires out loud practice; sole dependence on online courseware may not work out for many students.

To fully master a language, a great deal of word and sound repetition  is required. Sure, an online course can require students to listen to and repeat words, without someone there to provide feedback a student’s pronunciation may be completely off.

For this reason, blended language learning is best. When possible, it’s best to combine face-to-face with online learning regardless of the topic.

When used in blended learning, LMS online language courses can be truly efficient. Significantly for high schools across the U.S., LMS online language courses help answer a range of problems, including: insufficient language course offerings, language teacher shortages, no interest in language acquisition, lack of AP classes in some areas, lack of physical space in schools, and most of all, lack of funding. Limited resources cause organizations to search for new and cost-effective solutions.

When required interaction and language practice with other students is online, shyer students may feel more comfortable. Online programs like VoIP services, LMSs, podcasts, instant messaging, and screen and audio recordings are just a few examples of ways language students can apply and practice their second tongues.

Spanish is spoken by over 350 million in 22 countries. Spanish is the main language in many countries besides Spain such as Argentina, Mexico, Colombia, Peru and Venezuela. It is either the official language or one of the official languages in 22 countries. Mexico has the highest population in the world who speaks Spanish. Every Spanish speaking region has its own peculiarities and distinctiveness. For instance, the Spanish spoken in Spain is different than what the Latin Americans speak. Within Latin America too there are differences in the way Spanish is spoken. For instance, the Spanish spoken in Colombia is slower and clearer.

There is a rise in the number of people speaking Spanish. There is an increase in the use of Spanish words in English. It is natural that there is an increased interest in Spanish language. The number of people wanting to learn Spanish too is increasing. Many want to learn it as a language in its true sense in terms of getting to know the renowned literary tradition. But much more are the people who want to learn the more functional Spanish language.

A number of Spanish speaking programs have been generated in recent times with the increased interest in learning the language. The programs are specially designed to attract the learners. One way of doing this is by designing the course to make it convenient to the learners to learn according to their capacity. They are learner centered. The language that is moreover learnt is to help the learner to interact and communicate effectively with the Spanish speaking people. There are a number of programs available in the Internet. The Pimsleur program is one such though costlier than most other programs. You can download the program or order for the pimsleur Spanish cd. The Graduated Interval Recall that this program uses helps the learner in quicker learning of the language. It does not give excessive focus on grammar.

It is quite difficult and uninteresting to learn Spanish the conventional way. One will have to abide by the regular time that is allotted to the class. It is difficult for people to do this and they would love to take the lessons when they have the time. Another problem is that the conventional course does not focus on the Spanish that is commonly spoken but the literary Spanish. But people want to learn what they will use and can effectively communicate with. Learning a language is difficult. Each language has its own grammar. One way to learn this is to learn it formally. Another is to learn from practical use.

Most of us can remember the point at school where you finally get to choose which subjects you want to keep learning and which ones you drop. I know at my school they kept telling us we should be choosing languages because we’d get better jobs that way, but hardly anyone listened. Instead we opted for the fun subjects, music and art and drama, or whatever involved the least actual real work. The future seemed so far away, it hardly seemed to matter at all.

I’m sure I’m not alone when I say I regret that now – I don’t mean having fun at school, but not keeping up with language courses when I had the chance. Because the truth is that yes, a second language might help you get a better job, depending on what type of work you are looking for, but the benefits don’t stop there. Being able to speak and understand a second language could be good for other areas of life too.

If you want to go travelling then learning a second language is possibly the most invaluable thing you could do. Being an English speaker will get you around America, Australia and most of Europe at a push, but learn Spanish or Chinese as well and you’ll be able to make your own way around most of the world.

Even if travelling’s really not your thing, even if you mostly like to stay in, you probably still use the internet, or maybe you like taking on your mates over XBOX live. The technology we have today makes it easier than ever to connect with people from around the world, but once we’ve connected we need to be able to communicate. It’s great to be able to play XBOX against your friends even when you’re not together, but English is only spoken in eight of the 26 countries that can use XBOX live. Imagine how much better it would be to learn French or German and be able to connect with all those other people as well!

Whichever way you look at it, language barriers are becoming more and more of a problem in the UK over recent years. Recent figures show that one in every seven schoolchildren between then age of four and 11 do not speak English as their first language, causing overall results to fall across the board as teachers struggle to cope.

The Children’s Department are addressing this problem by supplying more funding for language courses to help these children catch up with their English, but education is not the only area that’s affected, and it’s not just immigrants who are finding themselves at a disadvantage because of their language.

With the recession making it harder and harder to find work, people who are fluent in a second language are finding things a lot less difficult. In the modern world of the internet where the rest of the world is only a click away, speaking a second language is a hugely sought after skill. International communication is more important than ever in the business world and someone with the ability to converse in the native language of that country will always be valuable. In these hard times where work is scarce, the decision to learn French or any other language could be one of the best decisions you ever make.

It’s not just your career that could be improved by learning another language. If you’ve ever wanted to travel, being able to speak and understand languages besides English is invaluable. It’s true that in Europe most people speak at least a little English and it’s usually easy enough to get by, but English is not the most widely spoken language in the world. Depending where you want to travel, you will find that you will probably have to learn Spanish or Mandarin (Chinese) to get by as there are many regions where these languages are spoken exclusively.
